Wanindu Hasaranga
Talented spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was the highest ODI wicket-takers in 2024 with 26 wickets in 10 matches, demonstrating exceptional consistency. He scalped his wickets at an average of 15.61 and a strike rate of 17.46. He also had three 4-wicket hauls and one 5-wicket haul.
Dilon Heyliger
Having played 14 matches, Canadian pacer Dilon Heyliger picked 26 wickets at an average of 22.23, an economy rate of 4.95, and a strike rate of 26.92. Heyliger failed to scalp a wicket in his first and last outings of 2024 but took at least one wicket in his remaining 12 games, including career-best bowling figures of 10-0-31-5 against Nepal in King City.
Allah Gazanfar
Afghanistan’s 18-year-old spinner, Allah Ghazanfar, comes next on the list with 21 wickets. Recently, Gazanfar was also bagged for a whopping price of Rs 4.8 crore by MI in the last IPL mega auction. Looking at his age, Gazanfar is surely expected to become one of the big names coming from the Afghanistan Cricket.
