While Preeti Jhangiani has been busy working on the arm-wrestling league that she and her husband, Parvin Dabas, set up, the actress is keen to take up more acting projects. After a five-year break, she returned to acting with the OTT show
Kafas
. She says, “It’s not like I wanted to stay away from acting, it’s just that I got busy with other work. I run my company, under which I produce films and organise sports events, so work has kept me busy through the years. But I enjoy being in front of the camera, and I am looking for good opportunities. I believe once an actor,
always an actor, and it’s something you can’t take away.”
Post
Mohabbatein
(2000), Preeti was seen in films like Awara Pagal Deewana (2002), LOC Kargil (2003) and Chand Ke Paar Chalo (2006), but the actress says things didn’t work out the way she wanted them to. “I had signed films, but many of them didn’t take off or got stalled. It was really sad because post Mohabbatein, I had producers offering me good projects. Some films that I had said no to saw other actresses making their debut.”
Preeti is optimistic about her
acting career
now. “Every person has their own destiny. I am getting some good offers on OTT. Also, I am happy that web shows are finite. I was offered TV shows, including reality shows, but I turned them down.”
