NEW DELHI: Amid the ongoing controversy over the alleged National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak, one of the arrested candidates from Bihar,
Anurag Yadav
(22), has confessed to receiving the leaked exam papers through his
uncle
, a junior engineer.
In his statement, Anurag Yadav said, “I returned from Kota and was taken to Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar by my uncle on the night of May 4, where I was given the NEET exam question paper and answer sheet, which I was made to study and memorise overnight.”
The confession from Anurag Yadav, reportedly a student of Allen Institute Kota, highlights the extent of the leak.
As per the report by Times Now, Yadav said that his uncle arranged the papers for him.
Upon receiving the call from his uncle, Anurag returned to Bihar, where he was given the question paper and answer sheet on the night of June 4. He confirmed that the questions provided to him matched those in the actual exam held at DY Patil School.
Despite the National Testing Agency (NTA) denying any paper leak, Anurag’s confession, along with those of others, brings to light the serious breach in the examination process.
