Mehendi artist Veena Nagda reveals Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s wedding was a ‘surprise’: ‘Woh plain dress mein hi…’

recently revealed that Twinkle and Akshay’s wedding was unexpected. She also mentioned that Twinkle was sitting in a basic outfit when she arrived at her residence for the mehendi.
In an interview with Hindi Rush, Veena opened up about Twinkle Khanna’s mehendi.

She shared, “Twinkle Khanna, unki mehndi bhi iss tarah se thi ki subha hum log gaye the, toh woh plain dress mein hi baithe the (When we went in the morning, she was sitting in a plain dress only).” She revealed that when she showed Twinkle the mehendi designs, the actress asked if everyone sat for the mehendi in heavy clothes.
Twinkle got ready and sat for her mehendi when Nadga said yes. She revealed that Twinkle waited for her mehendi for three to four hours, and she even questioned how people managed to sit for so long.
Veena Nagda also talked about Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s wedding. She disclosed, “Unki shaadi toh surprise thi (Their wedding was a surprise).” She claimed that even at the time of the booking, she had no idea who she was speaking with. According to Nagda, she was called to someone else’s residence and driven there. She stated that when she arrived at the door, Dimple Kapadia greeted her and that not even the driver had told her anything.

Veena Nagda stated that she was informed that the wedding had to take place that same evening and that the mehendi was scheduled for the morning. She shared, “Akshay ji nahi aaye the waha pe kyunki unka shooting chal raha tha (Akshay wasn’t there because his shooting was going on).”
Afterwards, Nagda remembered Twinkle Khanna’s phone call. She stated, “Unka phone aya ki ‘Veena ji bahut dark color aya hai.’ Kyunki humne bola, ‘Subha mehndi aur shaam ko shaadi, toh main color ka kuch bolti nahi hu’ (Her call came that ‘Veena ji, very dark color has come.’ Because I said that, ‘Mehendi in the morning and wedding in the evening, so I don’t guarantee the color).”
