LUCKNOW: Fresh violence engulfed UP‘s

Monday morning during the
funeral
of Ram Gopal Mishra, a 22-year-old who was shot dead the day before in
clashes
between two communities over DJ music played during a Durga idol immersion in the Mahsi area.
A large crowd gathered for Mishra’s last rites and went on the rampage, setting vehicles on fire at an automobile showroom and vandalising a private hospital.
In response, authorities suspended internet services, and the situation was gradually brought under control.
CM Yogi Adityanath dispatched ADG (law and order) Amitabh Yash and the home secretary to the district.
