Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy reacted with shock to the news of the stampede at Sangam amid the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The Chief Minister said that Telangana government is ready to extend the necessary assistance.
He extended condolences to the family members of people who lost their lives. The Chief Minister requested the Centre and Uttar Pradesh governments to come to the rescue of the families, and to the injured.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha too expressed deep sorrow over the stampede at the Kumbh Mela that resulted in casualties. He urged the Uttar Pradesh government to take measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
