Foolproof security is being ensures in and around Prayagraj district for the safety of devotees ahead of Maha Kumb 2025. The NSG commandos on January 9, conducted a mock drill showcasing their expertise in counter-terrorism operations. The mock drill, which was conducted at multiple locations, aimed to validate the planning parameters commandos in the event of a terrorist attack. The NSG’s mock drill in Prayagraj is a testament to the force’s commitment to ensuring the safety during Maha Kumbh 2025. Seven routes connecting Prayagraj district to eight bordering districts are included in the security setup. 102 checkpoints have been created for vehicle and person checks along these routes, to ensure the proper security. The Mahakumbh is being celebrated after 12 years, and over 45 crore devotees are expected to attend h event.
