Magic Chess: Go Go unveils first esports event with APAC Launch. Check out the detailed information below.
Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) today celebrates its “APAC Grand Launch”. The free-to-play multiplayer strategy game is now available for download in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand on iOS and Android.
MCGG is created by the original team from MOONTON Games’ star game, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). Set in MLBB’s beloved universe, MCGG transforms players into master strategists, commanding familiar MLBB Heroes to create their ultimate forces. Each Chessboard will see eight players simultaneously engage in Player versus Player (PvP) combat. Each player will compete individually, testing their real-time decision-making and strategies through multiple rounds to become the last strategist standing.

Unveiling MCGG’s First Esports Event!
MCGG unveiled its first competitive esports event—the Magic Chess: Go Go Indonesia Community Tournament (MCCT ID). Hosted from 7 to 16 March, the online tournament will offer 512 players in Indonesia the opportunity to pursue their esports aspirations. The tournament features a USD 5,100 prize pool and will be broadcast live during the Semifinals (14 to 15 March) and Final (16 March).
Gao “Skyhook” Chong, MCGG Producer at MOONTON Games, said: “MCGG has huge potential to be an esports title; its focus on skill, strategy, and real-time decision-making makes it excellent for competition. Additionally, MCGG’s single-player format means the participation cost and barriers are much lower than many other esports titles. In MCGG, anyone can be a champion! We will focus on developing the competitive ecosystem, starting with the MCCT ID, so that aspiring esports athletes have the opportunity to pursue their ambitions.”
Players who reach the top 16 and who would like to become MCGG streamers will receive livestream traffic support from MOONTON Games after the MCCT ID concludes.
Players in Indonesia can register from 27 February to 4 March at this link: mcggesports.id
