NAAC team visit
NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Peer Team visited Nadar Mahajana Sangam S. Vellaichamy Nadar College, Nagamalai, on December 9 and 10 for the fourth cycle reaccreditation. It was led by Dipak Rajan Mandal, former VC, S.K.B. University, Purulia, West Bengal. Sankhavaram Radha, Additional Director – IGNOU, and Urmila Dabir, Principal, Kewalramani Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, were the members. S. Ramamoorthy, Principal in charge, made a presentation to the NAAC team about the activities of the college in the past five years. The team members inspected all the departments of the college and stalls at an exhibition and interacted with alumni, parents, and the students. They inspected laboratories, library and playground of the college. On the second day, the NAAC team inspected the students’ office, placement cell, boys and girls hostels and Helen Keller Club.
AI integrated research explained
The Research and Development Cell and Intellectual Property Rights of Fatima College organised a five-day Virtual Research Development Programme on ‘AI Integrated Research from December 9 to 13. Research Dean S.J. Kala gave an introduction about the programme. Tanaji Vitthal Chavan of Anekant Institute of management Studies, Pune; Nagunuri Srinivas of St. Joseph’s Degree and PG College; K. Thiyagu of Central University of Karnataka, Kadaganchi; Nisha Ann Jacob of Union Christian College, Aluva; and D. Rajan of Brainware University, Barasat, Kolkata, were the resource persons. Around 180 participants including students and Professors from various colleges of Tamil Nadu and other states participated in the online programme.
