Hyderabad (Telangana): Bharatiya Janata Party Hyderabad MP candidate Madhavi Latha said on May 24 that the Eletion Commission should first verify faces of voters who come to vote with their ID cards and then let them vote. Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan lambasted Delhi BJP for demanding proper verification of women voters wearing burqas, and claimed that Muslim women are being subjected to torture. Hasan also said that this is a way to decrease the voting percentage of Muslims.
