Directed by Advait Chandan, ‘Loveyapa’ marked the big screen debut of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, who gained fame for their OTT projects ‘Maharaj’ and ‘The Archies’ respectively. Released on February 7, the romantic comedy is set to complete its first week at the box office, and according to the Sacnilk report, it has collected Rs. 6.25 crore so far.
For the unvesed, the movie is a Hindi remake of the hit 2022 film ‘Love Today.’ Before it made it to the theatres, there were mixed reactions and predictions regarding the future of the movie at the box office. Owing to the same, it opened with only Rs.1.15 crore. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the movie impressed the audience. They were in awe of the relatable content, fresh jokes, and crisp screenplay. Thus, in the debut weekend, the movie was able to see a witness with a business of Rs.1.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 1.75 crore on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the magic didn’t last long. From the following Monday, the movie saw a major drop. From Monday till Wednesday, the movie hasn’t been able to earn a proper crore. On both Monday and Tuesday, the film minted Rs.0.55 crores, and now according to the early estimates, on Wednesday it saw a slight growth with a collection of Rs. 0.60 crore.
Further, if we talk about the overall occupancy on Wednesday, it was 9.93%. There was a visible increase in the occupancy rate as compared to Tuesday, here’s a brief:
