As Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) gets ready to play against Mumbai Indians at
Wankhede Stadium
, talk about the past fight resurfaced. Joy Bhattacharjya shared about the upcoming match on X platform on Friday, stating, “The last time KKR beat MI at the Wankhede, I was still a part of that dugout. It’s been a while, but today might just be the day!”
In response, a user mentioned that the team has been “cursed” since Shah Rukh “abused” the security guard.
Later, the user deleted the tweet. Joy then explained the incident, saying that Shah Rukh’s reaction was due to his daughter being harassed. Suhana Khan was with Shah Rukh during the incident.
Joy penned, “KKR won two championships after that incident. And he did not abuse, I was there. And the next time, stay calm when someone cat calls your young daughter.”
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan described how the incident happened. He mentioned that he reacted strongly because a word used by the security staff had religious significance. Shah Rukh expressed that he felt “very angry and upset” about it.
According to a PTI report, the superstar denied any misbehavior and insisted that his reaction was provoked when children, including his own, were treated roughly by the security staff at the stadium.
