, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya and Tanya Maniktala hit the theatres on July 5, and the film is receiving rave reviews. While the film is touted to be a train thriller, it is high on action. Hollywood action choreographer Se-yeong Oh, best known for his work in Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Snowpiercer’ has curated the action sequences in the film.

The film is ultra-violent and gory, and the director has now opened up about the challenges they faced while shooting for ‘Kill’. In an interview with India Today, the director stated that the action and the gory scenes were ‘very challenging’ to shoot. He shared that the filming process was intricate and time-consuming, requiring extensive preparation and research, as this was something never been attempted in Indian cinema before. The director also explained that there is a specific reason for the intense violence in the film. He also stated that the violence wasn’t something ‘random’ as for them the story was of more importance than action.
Nikhil Nagesh Bhat also stated that ‘Kill’ is a ‘heavily emotionally charged film’. He also spoke about how his actors underwent rigorous training for the film. “As far as the action is concerned, it was very raw and gritty,” he said. He also spoke about how they had to diversify the form of action, as the character Amrit is trained in martial arts and fought with a method, while Raghav had a rather freestyle, more like a street fighter.

ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 and wrote, “Kill had the perfect setting to cash in on claustrophobic horror. It makes you squirm with all the violence (as intended), but never reaches a crescendo where fear grips you. That would have been its true victory.”
