The much-anticipated period drama Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath, starring Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, and Sooraj Pancholi, has received a new release date. The makers have officially announced that the film will now premiere in theatres worldwide on May 16, 2025. Produced by Kanu Chauhan under the Chauhan Studios banner, the film is a Panorama Studios worldwide release.

A Tale of Courage and Sacrifice

Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath brings to life the valiant efforts of warriors who fought to protect the sacred Somnath Temple from invaders. Suniel Shetty takes on the role of Vegda Ji, a fearless warrior who stands as the guardian of his homeland. Joining him is Sooraj Pancholi as Hamirji Gohil, a young and determined Rajput prince. Together, they confront the ruthless Zafar Khan, played by Vivek Oberoi, in an epic battle driven by strategy, bravery, and unwavering patriotism.

Amidst the intense action and historical drama, the film also weaves in an emotional subplot. Hamirji Gohil’s romance with Raajal, portrayed by Akansha Sharma, adds depth to the narrative, highlighting themes of love, loyalty, and sacrifice.

Makers on the Release Date Shift

Explaining the decision to move the film’s release, the makers shared, “The love and anticipation for Kesari Veer have been overwhelming! To ensure a more impactful worldwide launch, we are moving the release date to May 16, 2025.”

For the unversed, earlier, the film was scheduled to release on March 14.
