Karnataka Legislative Assembly LoP and BJP leader R Ashoka on June 16 criticised the Congress govt of the state for the hike in petrol and diesel prices. He accused the Congress of ‘cheating’ and ‘taking revenge’ on the public after losing the Parliamentary elections. “I think Congress and this govt are cheating the Karnataka people. As they lost the Parliamentary elections, this is their revenge on the public, that’s why the rise of petrol and diesel prices… The petrol and diesel rates were not mentioned in the budget… Thus they are cheating the Karnataka people. We will protest tomorrow across the state for justice,” said R Ashoka.
