Kangana Ranaut regrets not contesting elections in 2019: I had an opportunity to fight…

this year. She kickstarted her political career from her home state of Himachal Pradesh, as the MP from Mandi.
Recently the actress expressed regret for not starting her political career earlier. Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, the actor-turned-MP stated, “I had an opportunity to fight election in

also.

Now that I have so much to learn, and there’s so much information to acquire, sometimes I feel that, ‘Why didn’t I do it!’ It could not have stopped the course of my career anyway.”
She further added, “It’s just that I could’ve got more accustomed. At least I’d have followed news or read about it a little bit. Bahut zyada (a lot) everything has come onto me. Toh uska bhi kabhi kabhi lagta hai (so I feel sometimes) that I should’ve taken up that offer.”

To fulfill her duties for campaigning, Kangana had to push her directorial venture Emergency. However, soon after the elections were over, the actress announced that this period political drama will hit the screens next month. Directed and co-produced by Kangana, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.
