Kangana Ranaut, who is currently in the news for her movie Emergency, is set to address her controversial comment about Ranbir Kapoor in an upcoming interview, according to a teaser. Years ago, Kangana referred to Ranbir as a “serial skirt chaser” in a Twitter post, now known as X, which caused quite a stir. In the new interview, she will finally discuss this provocative statement.

In a teaser for the show ‘Aap ki Adalat’, Kangana was asked about the comment.

“You call Ranbir Kapoor a ‘serial skirt chaser,’” she was questioned. To this, Kangana replied, “Aap toh aise bol rahe hai jaise wo Swami Vivekanand ho.”
Back in August 2020, Kangana shared a post that read, “Ranbir Kapoor is a serial skirt chaser but no one dare call him a rapist, Deepika is a self proclaimed mental illnesses patient but no one calls her a psycho or a witch, this name calling is reserved only for extra ordinary outsiders who come from small towns and humble families.”

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut’s highly anticipated political drama, ‘Emergency,’ has hit a roadblock as the film awaits

certification

from the Central Board of Film Certification (

CBFC

).
The movie, based on the life of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, has stirred controversy due to its ‘sensitive’ content.
In a recent video shared on her social media platforms, the film’s certification process has been stalled due to the sensitive nature and threats directed at

censor board

members.

Addressing the issue, Kangana stated, “There have been rumours circulating that my film ‘Emergency’ has been certified by the Censor Board. This is not true. While our film did receive clearance from the CBFC, the certification was delayed due to numerous death threats against members of the censor board.”
She further explained the challenges posed by the film’s controversial scenes, saying, “This has put pressure on us not to depict the assassination of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Bhindranwale, and the Punjab riots in the film. This raises the question: what can I actually show in the film? That the film blacks out all of a sudden.”

Kangana, who is not only starring in but also directing the film, expressed her frustration and concern over the situation. “This is an unbelievable time for me and I am very sorry for the state of things in this country,” she remarked.
‘Emergency’ has already generated significant buzz, and the ongoing controversy is likely to keep the film in the headlines.
