Kal Ho Naa Ho
’ starring Shah Rukh Khan holds a special place in the hearts of the audience. Though he started off as an independent filmmaker directing SRK, Nikkhil Advani didn’t collaborate with the superstar later.
The director has recently revealed that he has plans to reunite with Shah Rukh, but not for an action movie, as many expected.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he revealed that he is thinking of a Hollywood
remake
rather than an action movie. When asked about the reason behind not collaborating with SRK after the acclaimed ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, the filmmaker stated that he didn’t get a subject apt for the superstar.
Advani also stated that he doesn’t want to do an action film with SRK, and also added that many filmmakers including Siddharth Anand, Sujoy and others are doing some incredible action films with the superstar already. The ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ director further revealed that he hopes to do the remake of the Hollywood film ‘
The Bridges of Madison County
’ with Shah Rukh Khan.

Meanwhile, ‘The Bridges of Madison County’ released in 1995 is an American romantic drama based on the 1992 bestselling novel of the same name by Robert James Waller. Clint Eastwood, produced and directed and also starred in the film alongside Meryl Streep.
