Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for another powerful role. She’s set to portray an Indian Foreign Services (IFS) officer in the highly anticipated movie Ulajh. The actress recently announced the film alongside co-stars Roshan Mathew and Gulshan Devaiah. Produced by Junglee Pictures and directed by National Award winner Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh will now hit theatres on August 2, 2024. This marks a shift from the previously announced release date of July 5, 2024. The makers are currently working on completing the post-production of the film.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Janhvi unveiled the new release date with a video, captioning it, “#Ulajh is now set to release on 2nd August in cinemas near you! See you guys with popcorn soon! #UlajhInCinemas2ndAugust!”
Ulajh delves into the life of a young diplomat, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, portraying the challenges and complexities she faces in her career and personal life. Creating massive buzz with its gripping teaser, Janhvi Kapoor promises a powerful and nuanced performance that highlights the different shades of her character.
Janhvi has expressed immense excitement about being part of Ulajh. In a statement, she revealed, “The script instantly attracted me. As an actor, I’m constantly seeking roles that push me beyond my comfort zone, and portraying a character in the world of the IFS was exactly that. Just like the film’s title suggests, my character and the story have layers, emotions, and complexities that are both challenging and thrilling. I can’t wait for audiences to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, whose approach to this genre is so fresh. Written by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria with dialogues penned by Atika Chohan, this new-age thriller promises a unique experience for viewers. Beyond Janhvi Kapoor, Ulajh boasts a stellar supporting cast, including established names like Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta, and Jitendra Joshi.
