Devara: Part 1
.’ This film will see the
Bollywood star
portraying Thangam, a village belle, and Jr NTR’s love interest. Janhvi has expressed deep admiration for Jr NTR, referring to him as a remarkable artist.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Janhvi shared her excitement about working in
South Indian cinema
.
She praised the South Indian film industry for its dedication to filmmaking, describing it as a place where movies are treated as true works of art. She also added, “They really give it that respect, scale, and magnitude. They have so much conviction in their storytelling.”
Janhvi also spoke highly of her co-star, Jr NTR, mentioning his incredible on-screen presence. She was particularly impressed by his energy and swift learning ability. She recalled filming a song with him, where he mastered the choreography almost instantly, while she took days to learn the same steps.
She said, “His energy is contagious and I recently shot for a song with him, the speed at which he picks steps is unheard of. I’m here learning the same for 10 days and he just learns it all in a second. Even in his takes, he’s just alive on camera.”
Talking about the film’s director,
Koratala Siva
, Janhvi appreciated his leadership and calmness on set.
She said, “Siva sir is the captain of the ship of such a big ship. The stakes are so high, it is a set of large magnitude, and there are so many extras always but he’s so calm. He is so lovely to talk to, easy to work with, and you feel very protected as an actor.”
The film not only marks Janhvi Kapoor’s entry into the Telugu film industry but also marks
Saif Ali Khan
’s first film as well. Alongside them, the movie stars Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, and many others in key roles.
Recently it was also disclosed that ‘Animal’ fame Bobby Deol will also have a brief part of the film, and will be seen in the second instalment.
‘Devara: Part 1’ is expected to be a grand cinematic experience with the film to have a pan-India release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada in theatres on September 27.
