Popular singer Neha Kakkar has been in the news lately as some photos of her being arrested went viral on the internet. It was being said that the singer was arrested in connection to a trading scam. These photos went viral with a link which redirected the reader to a malicious website carrying a fake interview in the name of Neha promoting ‘Emarlado’.
However, here’s the truth. These photos of Neha were falsely created using artificial intelligence (AI) and the singer is nowhere involved in this scam. In these pictures which were made viral, Neha can be seen crying while a police personnel has arrested her. These pictures went viral with the caption, ‘Tragic end to Neha Kakkar’s career! This morning’s news was a shock to all Indian people!’
The truth is that the woman in these pictures is someone else and her face has been morphed with Neha’s face. This is not the first time that AI has played spoilsport and caused harm to celebrities. Earlier, names of celebs like Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh were also used to lure people to the investment scam website.
The fraud posts showed Big B and Ranveer endorsing the platform, thus luring people with claims that they will get money in return.
On work front, Neha is currently promoting her latest single which has just released. It is called ‘Moon Calling’.
