The result Mumbai Indians were looking for in their IPL 2025 opener unfortunately didn’t go their way, as they suffered a defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their first match. Since 2013, they have never won their opening match, continuing this streak of losses. However, it’s now time to move past the disappointment and focus on preparing for the next game.
Before jumping into preparations, MI has decided to spend some quality time together in a team-bonding session. That’s why, the very next morning after the match, they departed from Chennai and arrived at a special location.
MI squad heads to Jamnagar
That’s correct, a video of Mumbai Indians has been making waves online. The video, from Monday, just a day after their defeat, shows Rohit Sharma stepping out of the airport. Following him, head coach Kieron Pollard can be seen, and later, Lasith Malinga also exits the airport. However, fans were most eagerly waiting for Suryakumar Yadav. The moment he stepped out, they gave him a grand welcome.
Speaking about the special destination, Hardik Pandya’s side will spend some time in Jamnagar for team-bonding activities before resuming practice.
