IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine and Phil Salt raced up the Orange Cap table after their blistering start against the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday. Narine scored 81 while Salt smashed 32 which helped them rise to 3rd and 4th in the table.
On Saturday, Virat Kohli strode to the top of the IPL 2024’s top run scorers standings after a 27-ball 42-run innings in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s four-wicket win over the Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kohli left Chennai Super Kings’ captain Ruturaj Gaikwad in second spot with his innings. On Wednesday, Gaikwad had surpassed Virat Kohli to top the batting charts.
Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan slid down to the 5th position after scoring 6 against Bengaluru on Saturday.

Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
