IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: Kolkata Knight Riders’ opening duo Sunil Narine and Phil Salt failed to enter the top five of the leading run-scorers of the IPL season on Saturday after low returns against the Mumbai Indians in Kolkata.

While Salt fell for six, Narine was bowled for a golden duck.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Virat Kohli extended his lead atop the runs tally in IPL 2024 as he scored 92 runs off 47 deliveries against Punjab Kings on Thursday at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Kohli became the first player to cross the 600 run mark this season and now boasts 634 from his 12 outings this year.

On Friday, Gujarat Titans’ Sai Sudharsan moved up into the 4th position in the race after recording his maiden IPL hundred.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Travis Head had climbed third in the most runs tally for the season as he scored a blistering 89 against the Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday.

Festive offer

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is in the 5th spot after his 86 off 46 balls against Delhi Capitals in a knock laced with eight fours and six maximums.
