The international mathematics conference on ‘Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics’ organised by Department of Mathematics, St. Stephen’s College, Pathanapuram, and its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) — in collaboration with the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) — explored how advancements in mathematics-based science drive global development and how making mathematical concepts accessible to the public can empower communities.
Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, Metropolitan of Kollam Diocese inaugurated the event and A. Biju, principal of St. Stephen’s College, presided over the function.
Renowned mathematicians and researchers from India and abroad presented thirty papers across nine sessions, covering a wide range of topics. The concluding session was inaugurated by N. Pramod, Kerala University syndicate member.
