IND vs PAK Weather Forecast: The highly-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup might face a rain threat on Sunday. Rohit Sharma-led India will take on Babar Azam’s Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 9.

According to the most recent June 9 New York weather forecast, there is high possibility of rain in New York on Sunday. Accuweather’s forecast predicts that there is 51 per cent chance of rain at 11 AM local time (8:30 PM IST), which is half an hour after the start of the match. The rain will continue to play spoilsport till 4 PM New York Time, which is 1:30 AM IST on June 10.

It would be interesting to see how many overs the fans will get to see. Ahead of the tournament, USA Cricket chairman Venu Pisike had claimed great excitement and anticipation in the country around the India-Pakistan game in the T20 World Cup.

“In terms of demand, it was huge. I think when ICC advertised for ticket registration, nearly 2 million requests just came for the India-Pakistan game. Unfortunately, it’s hard to accommodate everyone,” Pisike had told The Indian Express.

What will happen if the India vs Pakistan match will be washed out?

A washout will give a lifeline to Pakistan, who lost their first match against the USA. Both India and Pakistan will share a point if the game gets abandoned.

India vs Pakistan Pitch Report

The New York pitch is causing consternation. The ICC have said they have men working hard to change the nature of the drop-in surfaces after first-inning scores of 77, 96 and 137. Aside from heavy watering, which will only make for a slower surface, there is very little that can be done at this stage to change a wicket. Runs will be short again. Anything over 150 will be a match-winning total.
