India vs Australia 3rd Test Live: IND will take on AUS at the Gabba.
India vs Australia 3rd Test Live Cricket Score, IND vs AUS Test Live Score Today: India on Saturday will return to the venue of one of their famous Test triumphs in recent memory when the Rohit Sharma-led outfit take on the Australia in the all important 3rd Test at the Gabba.
With Australia’s recent form in Gabba nothing to write home about with the hosts losing to West Indies in this stadium earlier this year as well as that historic defeat to India in 2021, the visitors will look to seize the advantage. Even though the pitch curator has said this time around Gabba will offer its traditional pace, bounce and carry, India will hope to counter that.
The batting lineup is due to be rejigged because of Rohit Sharma’s struggles at No.6 at Adelaide so the Indian captain is expected to open the innings in order to play his natural game. That would mean Shubman Gill comes in at No.3, Virat Kohli at No. 4 and KL Rahul at No.5.

What to expect in Gabba: Heat, bounce, pace and intensity
The Gabba is set to host the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between Australia and India, and the pitch is expected to offer plenty of pace and bounce, according to former curator Kevin Mitchell Jr. “They are playing at pitch no.4. That’s the bounciest of the lot. The pitch where Mitchell Johnson terrorised England in 2013 with a nine-wicket haul. I expect it will seam a bit on the first day and quicken up with more pace and bounce on the second day,” Mitchell Jr. said.
He further added, “The job for your Indian batsmen is cut out. For that matter, the Aussies too. Both teams’ batsmen aren’t in flush form, are they? Travis Head saved the day at Adelaide, else it could have got tricky for Australia too.” While a previous Test against South Africa was completed in just two days due to excessive grass, this pitch appears to have been prepared differently. The initial green cover has been reduced, and the ground looks firm.
“I think it will be quick and bouncy, It will be an interesting toss, especially if it is cloudy and humid,” Mitchell Junior said. (READ MORE)
