India vs Afghanistan Live Score, T20 World Cup 2024 Match Today: Having topped Group A – with seven points – India will play their first Super-8 match on Thursday against Afghanistan in Group 1 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Afghanistan were the second ranked team in Group C, having won three off their matches.
The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team began their World Cup with a win against Ireland by eight wickets at the Nassau County Stadium in New York. It was the same venue where they defeated Pakistan and USA to secure a spot in the next round. Their final group game against Canada was abandoned without toss in Florida owing to wet outfield.
Afghanistan also got off to a flying start with three wins in a row, defeating Uganda, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea before losing to the West Indies. Having bested the likes of England and Pakistan at last year’s ODI World Cup, the Rashid Khan-led side pose a serious threat to any opposition in the Super-8.

Against Afghanistan in the Super Eight game in Barbados on Thursday, the bold punt taken by captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid would be tested. (READ MORE)
