India at Paris Olympics 2024 Day 5 Live Updates: In a day of crucial events for Indian athletes in Paris, Day 5 will bear host to shuttlers PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and HS Prannoy, boxer Lovlina Borgohain, paddlers Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula among others in action.

While Sindhu and Prannoy will have relatively easy group games to conquer, Lakshya will face an intense test when he takes on third seed Jonatan Christie in a virtual knockout to progress from the group stage. Meanwhile, Sreeja Akula will aim to become the second Indian to progress to the Round of 16 in TT singles as Manika aims to move past her Round of 16 challenge.

Tokyo Olympics bronze-medal winner Lovlina will be in action in the women’s 75kg category as she takes on Norway’s Sunniva Hofstad in her opening bout.
