India vs England Playing 11: Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Shami set to lead India’s pace attack in 4th match vs England
India vs England, IND vs ENG 4th T20I Predicted Playing 11 Today Match: India might make a series of tweaks against England in the 4th T20I after losing the 3rd match in Rajkot on Tuesday which enabled the visitors to get one win back in the series.
With the series now poised at 2-1 in favour of India, the Suryakumar Yadav-led outfit might opt to play to their strengths on the Pune pitch which typically favours both pacers and tweakers, depending on the conditions.
Ahead of the 4th match in Pune, Indian Express brings you the predicted playing XIs of India and England.
Arshdeep Singh to return
After resting Arshdeep Singh in the 3rd T20I, India will look to bring the pacer back in the team for the Pune match. With the pacer’s penchant for taking wickets in the powerplay, the home team will hope that the ICC Men’s T20I player of the year can tilt the match in their favour.
Mohammad Shami to stay put
Shami was finally given his first match in India colours in the 3rd match in Rajkot but he couldn’t take any wickets on his return. However, he did show glimpses of his 2023 World Cup form with lethal inswingers which the England batters dealt with caution. With the Pune pitch conducive for bowlers, Shami will likely make it to the playing XI again.
Ramandeep Singh might come in
After impressing for India in South Africa last year with his big hitting, Ramandeep, who was retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders, hasn’t has a chance to show his mettle for the national side for a while. Included in the side after Nitish Kumar Reddy went down with an injury, Pune might be the ideal place to try out this allrounder in place of washington Sundar or Dhruv Jurel.
Predicted XI:
India: Sanju Samson (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ramandeep Singh, Washington Sundar/Dhruv Jurel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami, Varun Chakaravarthy.
