Imran Khan
is back in the limelight, opening up about his personal and professional life like never before. While he is skimming through comeback plans, the actor has been actively giving fans a glimpse of the many ups and downs in his life.
Recently, Imran spoke about his parents’ separation when he was three-years-old and how he would feel stressed and anxious in school.
The actor told Humans of Bombay, “My parents got divorced when I was three. My first school was very liberal with canning, due to which I developed a lot of development issues such as
stammering
. I also started feeling stressed and anxious. I used to shut down, that’s when my mother took me out of the school.”
Imran and Avantika parted ways in 2019, but they continue to co-parent their daughter, Imara. Reflecting on his approach to
co-parenting
with Avantika, Imran said that he drew from his own childhood experiences and stated that he considers his parents as exemplary role models. He added, “They are good role models. Despite their differences, they were consciously engaged with me with the intention of loving me. I was their priority.”
Imran, who marked his acting debut as a child artist on the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Jo Jeeta Woh Sikander’, revealed how he wanted to become an archaeologist, influenced by movies like the Indiana Jones series. Transitioning into lead roles, he made his significant acting debut in 2008 with ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’, starring opposite Genelia D’Souza.
