According to multiple media reports, Panghal struggled to find food that suited his needs while training abroad before, impacting his performance, that is why Amit Panghal trains at SAI NSNIS Patiala. As per a report in the Indian Express, Rs 65.90 lakh was spent on his overall training in the lead up to the Olympics 2024.

Panghal’s credentials are impressive, having secured a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Delivering a strong performance in Paris could see him bring home a prestigious Olympic medal.
