Catch all the important stats of John Cena at the Men’s Royal Rumble. He will enter his last Royal Rumble match on February 2.
John Cena, one of the most iconic figures in WWE history, is set to kick off his farewell tour at the 2025 Royal Rumble. This monumental event marks the beginning of Cena’s final chapter in professional wrestling. Yes, wrestling fans, perhaps the GOAT of WWE is ready to hang up his boots and the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble 2025 in Indianapolis would be his last. With countless unforgettable moments and accolades to his name, Cena’s upcoming participation in the Royal Rumble is poised to be a fitting start to his farewell journey—a journey that has spanned over two decades.
Cena’s Royal Rumble story began in 2003, with a modest showing that included a near-20-minute stint. In 2005, Cena recorded his first elimination and finished as runner-up in a botched ending involving Dave Batista. Vince McMahon called the match to restart but Batista won his accolade by putting Cena over the ropes.
However, Cena’s true Royal Rumble legacy was cemented in 2008. At Madison Square Garden, Cena shocked the world by returning from injury six months early, entering at No. 30, and outlasting Triple H to secure his first win. His chest injury was supposed to take at least six to 12 months, but to everyone’s delight Cena managed to do the unthinkable.
His second victory came in 2013, when he last eliminated Ryback to much of a jeer from the crowd. Across his eight Rumble appearances, Cena has consistently reached the latter stages, finishing in the top four five times and never falling below ninth place. Though he was never an Iron Man. His age won’t allow it this time around either, sadly.
