Home advantage is massive: Ashley Westwood backs Real Madrid to overpower Bayern Munich in UCL semis

Huge Encounters in UCL Semi Finals

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Borussia Dortmund are the four clubs that have made it to the semi finals. Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich promises to be a mouth-watering encounter. On the other hand, PSG won’t have it easy. They will face an in-form Borussia Dortmund.

“Now all the other teams have dangerous players. PSG has Kylian Mbappe. Harry Kane and Sane for Bayern Munich, Dortmund, has Brant. But you just look at the way the overall package I think of of Real Madrid, and I just think they are equipped with goal scorers. Any second Bellingham, you can put in that category as well,” said Ashley Westwood.

Home Advantage Huge in UCL Semi Finals

Both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are extremely dominating teams. The duo gets a huge boost from their 12th man, i.e the home crowd. As a result, it is a big advantage for Los Blancos who will face Bayern at home in the second leg of the semi finals.

“I think the home advantage in the second leg is massive. If Madrid can go to Bayern and not concede too many and keep it relatively tight, any kind of result, whether that’s a draw, whether that’s a win, will be huge to bring them back then to Real Madrid’s fortress,” Westwood added.

“It is a cliche to to say the 12th man. They get there 5 hours before kick-off. They bring the party inside the stadium, and they really do get behind the the team. So I just think the advantage is with Real Madrid being at home second. Bayern too has their precision with Harry Kane, Coman, Sane and others,” he concluded.
