Badass Ravi Kumar
is set to hit theaters this Friday, with hopes of becoming a surprise hit. Since the trailer release on January 5, there have been no promotions or interviews, yet the film has gained buzz through its trailer and songs.
Badass Ravi Kumar was approved by the CBFC on January 29, but with several changes. The name of an alcohol brand was blurred in all scenes, and visuals of the middle finger were also censored.
The CBFC asked for several changes in Badass Ravi Kumar, including replacing close-up sensual visuals of a woman in a bikini. Cleavage shots and breast close-ups were modified, and scenes showing a man’s hand on a woman’s thigh and buttock were also altered.
A violent scene of a man being cut with a woodcutter machine was modified, though it’s unclear if it’s the same shot from the trailer. Additionally, the word ‘bitch’ was muted in the audio and removed from the subtitles.
After making the required changes, Badass Ravi Kumar received a UA 16+ certificate. The film’s duration, as stated on the censor certificate, is 141.44 minutes, which equals 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 44 seconds.
Apart from Himesh Reshammiya, Badass Ravi Kumar features Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone, Prabhudheva, and Sanjay Mishra. Directed by Keith Gomes and produced by Himesh Reshammiya Melodies, the film is set to hit cinemas on February 7.
