Get ready for Assembly polls: JP Nadda to J&K workers

The BJP‘s national president J P Nadda while addressing a party function in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday urged the party workers to ensure lotus bloom in the union territory in the assembly elections as and when they are conducted.

Nadda, while addressing party delegates in the last session of the two-day ‘Vistarit Karyasamiti Baithak’ said that they should ensure 100% results in the elections.

“BJP is an ideological party with a massive cadre base who are all fighters. All of you should prepare from election perspective and ensure 100% victory for the BJP. We have to move forward and ensure lotus blooms here,” said Nadda. The BJP national president also paid tributes to the party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his birth anniversary. Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Jitendra Singh, National General Secretary, in charge J&K, Tarun Chugh and other prominent leaders of the BJP including former deputy chief ministers Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta attended the meeting.

Earlier during the meeting, J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina urged workers and leaders to work together to ensure that the UT gets its first chief minister from the BJP. He said that the party needs to win the majority of the seats on its own. “We have to take a pledge… that we will strive for the goal of achieving majority in the next assembly elections. We pledge to form the next government on our own and have a BJP chief minister,” said Raina.
