“We condemn the remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia and Elvish Yadav. These people are very influential on social media platforms, with millions of viewers and subscribers who admire their work. Such irresponsible and disrespectful comments cannot be accepted. We demand strict legal action against these offensive remarks that have hurt people’s sentiments,” Tiwari said.
He stressed that comments targeting an individual’s dignity and race are completely unacceptable and disrespectful to those who follow these influencers. FWICE has urged authorities to take stringent legal action, highlighting the need for accountability and respectful conduct in the entertainment space.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police officials have reportedly visited the office of YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as “BeerBiceps,” amid mounting legal trouble over his controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent.’ Sources indicate that the investigation is linked to multiple FIRs filed against Allahbadia and other content creators, including Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, for allegedly promoting obscenity. This development escalates the ongoing legal and political crisis, with Allahbadia also facing the possibility of being summoned by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology (I-T) for his remarks.
