An absolute match-winner, @ashwinravi99! Retiring as India’s second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket is nothing short of monumental. Combine that with his invaluable batting contributions, and you get one of the game’s solid all-rounders. Well done, Ash! pic.twitter.com/9UAxCNouSf

End of an era. One of the most intelligent cricketers i had the privilege to work , argue and fight most of the times. Unfortunate not to see him lead team India with his wealth of knowledge and intelligence but extremely optimistic that he will be the head coach for IND soon. pic.twitter.com/ACrJzA1M4Z

Ashwin stats in Test
If one was to look a little deeper into his stats, he was a giant in Indian conditions. At home, he picked up 383 wickets in 65 matches only, at an average of 21, and a strike rate of 46. He enjoyed great success in West Indies and Sri Lanka as well, where he picked up 32 and 38 wickets, respectively.
