Bollywood superstar Salman Khan celebrated his birthday in grand style on Friday, as the Ambani family hosted a lavish party in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Khan, accompanied by his family and close friends, landed at the Jamnagar airport earlier on Friday afternoon. Among the entourage were his mother, Salma Khan; actor Riteish Deshmukh and his wife, Genelia D’Souza; producer Sajid Nadiadwala; and Salman’s rumoured girlfriend, Iulia Vântur, sisters Alvira and Arpita. The actor’s trusted bodyguard, Shera, was also seen ensuring security for the occasion.
A car was seen waiting outside the airport for the actor’s arrival with his jet full of guests. Hosted by the Ambanis at their sprawling estate, the evening featured a grand fireworks display and luxurious decor. While the event was a closed-door affair, photos and videos from outside the Ambani residence soon went viral online. An elaborate fireworks display lit up the night sky, prompting fans to take videos and photos and share them online for all to see. According to the viral posts, Salman’s hit movie songs and soundtracks were also played all night long.
Another interesting post saw the walls of the Ambani residence light up with the words ‘Happy Birthday Bhai’.
Salman’s friendship with Anant Ambani stole the spotlight during the business tycoon’s extravagant pre-wedding celebrations with Radhika Merchant. From greeting Salman with a warm hug, to covering him in haldi and even carrying him during an after-party, videos of the two and their bromance soon went viral online.
The celebration coincided with the release of the first poster for Salman’s highly anticipated upcoming film, ‘Sikandar’. The makers were set to drop the first teaser of the film online on the occasion of the actor’s birthday. However, the teaser launch was postponed to Saturday, as a mark of respect following the demise of former PM Manmohan Singh.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for his work in ‘Ghajini’, the film pairs Khan with actress Rashmika Mandanna. ‘Sikandar’ also marks the reunion of Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala after their 2014 blockbuster ‘Kick’.
Described as a cinematic extravaganza, ‘Sikandar’ promises to blend action, drama, and emotion in a way that is sure to captivate audiences. The film is slated for its release on Eid 2025.
