Both the Indian hockey teams will face Argentina in the FIH Pro League today.
FIH Pro League hockey, India vs Argentina LIVE: India’s men and women’s hockey teams are back in action as the European leg of FIH Pro League begins. For India men’s hockey team, this marks a significant block in their preparation for Paris 2024 Olympic Games and Harmanpreet Singh will be leading the side once again. For India women, this begins a new era of sorts as Harendra Singh begins his a new stint as the head coach, with Salima Tete promoted to captaincy.
Both teams face Argentina in Antwerp, Belgium today.
Harmanpreet & Co are back in action after a 0-5 Test series defeat in Australia, a tour that would have given head coach Craig Fulton some serious pointers on where the team can improve. Fulton is getting close to finalising his squad for Paris 2024 and there’d be a few players looking to impress and make the cut.
For Harendra, who returns for another stint in Indian hockey, the focus will be long term with the women’s team not having qualified for Paris Olympics.
