EURO 2024 Top Scorers: Race for Euro Golden Boot starts, Jude Bellingham throws hat in ring

We have officially started the UEFA Euro 2024. The tournament has always boasted of some of the world’s most prolific goal scorers and this edition is no different. Players like Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe all will be in a race to win the coveted Golden Boot. However, La Liga top scorer, Jude Bellingham announced his arrival with a stunner as England claimed a narrow win over Serbia.

EURO 2024 Top Scorers

Germany began their campaign with a 5-1 win over Scotland. The game saw Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musial, and Niclas Fullkrug all score their first-ever Euro goals. Wirtz who has scored 18 goals this season, will look to add more to his tally, aiming for the Golden Boot in his first-ever Euro appearance.

Spain star forward Alvaro Morata has also thrown his hat in the ring for Golden boot as he opened scoring in Spain’s 3-0 win over Croatia, It remains to be seen how many more goals he adds to his tally as Spain look to reclaim their lost glory. Italy’s Nico Barella is also officially in contention as Italy claimed a 2-1 win over Albania.

Day 3 EURO also a lot of different scorers. In Lewandowski’s absence, Adam Buksa scored while Cody Gakpo and Wout Weghorst scored for the Dutch. Christian Eriksen has opened his tally with a goal against Slovenia.
