An engineer has been arrested for allegedly stealing gold ornaments from his friend’s house, where he had gone to have a party. The arrested has been identified as Bharath, 25, an aeronautical engineer working at a private company and a resident of Uttarahalli.
The complainant in the case, a businessman and resident of Uttarahalli, had gone to attend a marriage in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, in the first week of December. His son, who was at home, called two of his friends home and had a party. The friends went out for a film the next day, locking the house. After he returned from the marriage, the businessman found the gold ornaments missing.
Subramanyapura police probing the case questioned both the friends who were at the party and Bharath reportedly confessed to the crime. Police have recovered 453 grams of gold ornaments worth ₹35 lakh from his flat.
