. In a recent podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Emraan discussed his ‘
serial kisser
’ image that marked a significant part of his career in the early 2000s.
He said, “I don’t blame the audience.
A large part of my career until 2009, 7-8 saal tak, woh image thaa mera joh producers sell kar rahey the. Mai khud sell kar raha tha.” He noted that actors often have distinct labels, like his “serial kisser” tag, which comes from his numerous films featuring
intimate scenes
.
Emraan
explained, “I think wo bahut saare artist ke saath ek patent cheez ho jaati hai, ek image set ho jaati hai logo ke saath,” emphasizing that these labels become a defining aspect of their Bollywood careers. Emraan added, “I don’t know what it is. I think that it is a label, or an identification with an actor, and it becomes an easy-peasy identification for them.”

During the podcast, Emraan highlighted how certain traits become synonymous with iconic Bollywood stars. He mentioned Shah Rukh Khan‘s open-arm pose,

‘s shirtless scenes. These traits have become integral parts of their identities.
Emraan also shared that filming intimate scenes in Murder was challenging since the audience was not used to such bold characters at that time.
On the work front, Emraan was recently seen in Ae Watan Mere Watan with Sara Ali Khan. He has two upcoming Telugu films, OG and G2, and will also appear in the second part of Showtime’s first season.
