As Bollywood is gearing up to showcase the
Godhra train incident
on-screen through the upcoming film ‘
The Sabarmati Report
’, there were several questions on whether the movie will be presented in a biased manner. Now Ekta Kapoor, one of the producers of the Vikrant Massey starrer, revealed that the movie will be aiming for a balanced view without any bias.
During a press conference which was attended by actors Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, Ridhi Dogra, and others, Ektaa Kapoor said that ‘The Sabarmati Report’ aims to cover the genesis of the event which has not been reported widely, without undermining other aspects.

She said that it doesn’t necessarily mean that while you are telling one part of the story, the other part is getting undermined, indicating that ‘The Sabarmati Report’ will be bringing out the unknown facts about the event rather than offering a biased perspective.
When asked about whether the team consulted PM Narendra Modi as he was the Gujarat chief minister during the incident, Ektaa Kapoor said, “I am not associated with any wing. The only wing here is the wing of truth, and it’s the flight of that wing.”
Directed by Dheeraj Sarna, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is all set to hit the big screens on November 15. The movie is expected to unveil the truth behind the tragic incident on the Sabarmati Express that occurred on February 27 in the year 2002. For the unversed, the tragic event happened near the Godhra railway station which is situated in Gujarat.
‘The Sabarmati Report’ features the actors Vikrant Massey, Raashi Khanna, Ridhi Dogra, Nazneen Patni, Sundip Ved, Prince Kashyap, Rohit Ameriya and Hella Stichlmair in pivotal roles.
