Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced that he will retire from the CPL following the league’s conclusion
Former West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League following the conclusion of CPL 2024. The all-rounder took to his Instagram handle to reveal his next move. Bravo is a part of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the league and made the announcement just before the team’s opening game.
“It’s been a great journey and I’m looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people,” Bravo wrote. “TKR is the place where everything started for me and will end with my team.”
Known affectionately as “DJ Bravo,” the all-rounder has been a consistent performer in the CPL, leading his team to three championships as captain and contributing to five titles overall. His retirement comes as a significant loss to the league, where he has established himself as the highest wicket-taker in CPL history.
