Vidya Balan, who is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
’, recently received praises from Shabana Azmi and Dia Mirza. In addition to praising Vidya for her amazing journey, Dia expressed her happiness at having had a small role in it. Vidya then went on how the two had been close friends and collaborated in films like ‘Bobby Jasoos’, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, and ‘
Parineeta
’.
During a conversation with Galatta India, Vidya praised Dia and shared, “We have done Parineeta, Lage Raho Munnabhai, and then Bobby Jasoos where she was my producer. It was just amazing, I didn’t know she was always so gentle, and so loving, and now seeing her as a mother is just amazing. I have seen various avatars of her. She makes everything look effortless.”
Vidya continued by sharing a story about how Dia’s reaction to a proposal made by the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress during the Parineeta shoot backfired. Vidya stated that she has many memories with her. While they were filming for ‘Parineeta’, Dia developed a stye on her eye. Reflecting on her childhood, she recalled how her mother had advised her to wrap hot rice in a cloth and place it on the affected eye when she had a stye. She suggested this remedy to Dia. However, the following day, her condition worsened, a moment she will always remember. Consequently, she had to perform the scene while wearing sunglasses.
She further added, “I felt so bad. After that, I stopped giving unsolicited advice to anyone. But she never brought it up. She was just too sweet.”
On the work front, Vidya Balan will be seen reprising the role of Manjulika in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 1. It also stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri and Madhuri Dixit.
