A few years back, HT had reported that Jalal is like a shadow to Deepika and has often gone out of the way to protect the popular actress.
Jalal has been with DP for nearly a decade and the actress reportedly decided to tie him a Rakhi in a gesture to appreciate his efforts. Back in 2017, Jansatta had reported that Jalal is paid approximately Rs 80 lakh a year.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone recently delivered one of the biggest hits of her career – Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also starred Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. The film minted over Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office. The film also featured cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mrunal Thakur. Reacting to the film’s success, Deepika had shared, “I don’t know what to feel. I’m just a bit overwhelmed with the reactions.”
She will soon be seen essaying a cop in Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer ‘Singham Again’. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Siddhartha Jadhav, Dayanand Shetty and Ashutosh Rana. ‘Singham Again’ is all set to hit the screens during Diwali 2024.
