Delhi Water crisis: AAP Minister Atishi begins indefinite fast demanding water for national capital

Delhi’s Water Minister Atishi began an indefinite fast on June 21 demanding water for the national capital following a severe heatwave in the city.Sanjay Singh and Sunita Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal’s wife) and other AAP leaders and party workers were also present at the spot to support Atishi and further strengthen the protest. Severe heatwave conditions in Delhi have thrown normal life out of gear. Due to the record-high temperature, there has been a rapid surge in water demand. The condition of people in several parts of Delhi is grim as they continue to face a water crisis amid the scorching heat.
