As per Axis My India’s electoral forecast, the Bhartiya Janata Party has an edge over the Congress party in this parliamentary constituency.
The Daman & Diu went to polls on May 7 in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
In the previous general elections of 2019, Daman And Diu witnessed a fiercely contested battle, with a notable 71.83% voter turnout. Lalubhai Babubhai Patel, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), emerged victorious with a substantial margin of 9,942 votes, securing a total of 37,597 votes. His closest contender, Ketan Dahyabhai Patel from the Indian National Congress (INC), garnered 27,655 votes.
