'Crossed all limits of hooliganism and vandalism': BJP writes to Delhi CEO against AAP

A day before the Delhi elections, a delegation from the BJP approached the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer on Tuesday and submitted a formal complaint, urging immediate intervention against the alleged threats posed by AAP workers.
“We are writing to address a critical matter concerning the use of force and threatening activities by the workers and leaders of Aam Aadmi Party during the Silence Period. We have time and again filed various complaints concerning the threatening means deployed by the Aam Aadmi Party’s workers to cause harm, inflict injury and spread fear amongst the Karyakartas and workers of Bharatiya Janata Party,” they said in the letter.
“Such incidents are also viral on social media wherein the Aam Aadmi Party is deliberately spreading the false narrative in the public that BJP karyakartas are doing hooliganism, however, the truth is that the Aam Aadmi Party in a conspiracy deployed means to injure our workers and spread fear in them to not vote for Bharatiya Janata Party,” they further added.

AAP supremo and national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had met with the Election Commission alleging, “BJP and Delhi Police are indulging in hooliganism at various places”. “We raised some issues because of which there has been violence and hooliganism in some places. The EC has assured us of strict action, and that unbiased elections will be held. We also warned them of large-scale voter suppression. There are also chances that on a large scale, fingers of people are forcibly inked tonight and they are threatened into not voting tomorrow,” he had added to his statement.
The BJP delegation cited mutiple incident, justifying their complaint. They alleged that large number of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers from Punjab and other states are staying in various hotels across Delhi. Acting on the instructions of AAP leaders, they are reportedly causing disturbances in different constituencies during the night. There is also apprehension that they might attempt to influence the elections by casting forged votes.
The letter also referred to an apparent social media video showing an AAP worker from Mehrauli holding a gun. This video is reportedly being circulated to create panic and fear among voters. A complaint regarding this incident has already been submitted by party workers.
Third incident mentioned in the complaint is about Delhi CM Atishi, who along with over 50 party workers, allegedly caused a ruckus in the Kalkaji constituency, from where she’s in the fray for the Wednesday elections. She is accused of unlawful assembly, attempting to intimidate voters, and spreading false narratives against the BJP candidate. Additionally, her workers allegedly engaged in acts of vandalism and threats, resulting in injuries to BJP workers, according to the letter.
